We aim to be local champions influencing decision-making relating to the natural environment and its value to social and economic outcomes, in particular, through working closely with local authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and Health and Well-being Boards.
We would like to see businesses incorporating protection of the natural environment into their corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy, and we have the expertise available to advise on the best ways of achieving this.
Schemes such as Biodiversity Offsetting are on the horizon and we aim to work with the key people in Berkshire to ensure that any such schemes emerging from government are of benefit to Berkshire's natural environment and not negatively impacting on it.
